Cyber Security Program Options
The Cybersecurity Management CISSP Certification Program examines strategies for enterprise-level responses to cybersecurity threats and the ability to assess measures to prevent anticipated cyber intrusions, employ experiences from past cyber intrusions in order to mitigate future cyber threats, and formulate and implement enterprise-level policies to successfully prevent and detect cyber intrusions. The role of government regulation in cybersecurity is explored, as are legal concepts such as privacy, intellectual property, and civil liberties. Topics will coincide with the CISSP Common Body of Knowledge, including the following domains: security and risk management, asset security, security engineering, communications and network security, identity and access management security assessment and testing, security operations, and software development security.
The Network Cybersecurity Security+ Certification Program encompasses an in-depth study of the fundamental concepts, architectures and protocols related to network cybersecurity. Core learning areas include access control and identity management, cryptography, policies and procedures, physical and logical defense, and network and application defense. Security+ specific learning areas include perimeter defense, host defenses, and Security+ examination prep. Emphasis will be placed on an overview of network security; basics of cryptography; threat models; authentication and authorization mechanisms and standards; public key infrastructure; electronic mail security; network layer security; transport layer and web security; packet filtering, firewalls, intrusion detection, and virtual private networks; other recent topics in network security. This Program satisfies the educational requirements to qualify to take the CompTIA Security+ exam (SY-401).
The Network Cybersecurity Security+ Certification and Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) Program encompasses an in-depth study of the fundamental concepts, architectures and protocols related to network cybersecurity and systems security. Core learning areas include access control and identity management, cryptography, policies and procedures, physical and logical defense, and network and application defense. Security+ specific learning areas include perimeter defense, host defenses, and Security+ examination prep. Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) specific learning areas include risk identification, monitoring, and analysis, incident response and recovery, and SSCP examination prep.
